Getting to the Montabaur water tower – by ICE, car or electric car

By ICE train

Montabaur is on the high-speed line between Cologne and the Rhine-Main region, and the tower is just a five-minute walk from Montabaur ICE station. You don’t really need a car during your stay: the old town, supermarkets and the outlet are within walking distance as well.

By plane

Direct ICE trains run from Frankfurt Airport long-distance station to Montabaur in about half an hour, followed by a five-minute walk. That makes the tower easy to reach even for a short visit after a flight.

By car

Montabaur has its own junction on the A3 motorway between Cologne and Frankfurt, a few minutes from the tower. Simply enter Werkstraße 28, Montabaur in your satnav.

Two private, free parking spaces are right in front of the steps, so there is no need to look for a space or buy a ticket.

By electric car

There is an 11 kW wallbox at the parking spaces. Activate it with common charging cards or a credit card and charge overnight while you sleep.

Arrival and keys

Check-in is from 3 pm, on Sundays from 5 pm. Check-out is by 11 am. There is no key to collect: before you arrive you receive a personal access code, which lets you in around the clock, so a late train is no problem. If you need different times, just write to us and we will try to find a solution depending on bookings.

Shopping nearby

REWE, Netto and DM are a few minutes’ walk away, as is the Montabaur outlet. Please bring capsules for the Nespresso machine or buy them there.
